University Park Civic Association

The University Park Civic Association is a self-governing organization of residents of the Town of University Park, Maryland. Formed more than twenty years ago, we plan and sponsor events for adults, children and the whole family.

Join the UPCA

The UPCA sponsors more than a dozen events each year through the annual supporting contribution of $25 per family, and some funding from the Town of University Park. Join today!

UP Playgroup

Calling all parents/caregivers of infants and preschoolers! Playgroups are a great way for babies and children to develop and practice their social skills. Get to know your neighbors with young children at Playgroup Meet 'n Greet events, sponsored by the UPCA. Representatives from established groups that would welcome new members are encouraged to attend as well or to send their contact information to one of the coordinators (Christine Becraft, Kara Frome, Elizabeth Seeger). Light refreshments will be available courtesy of the University Park Civic Association. You can learn more about the UPplaygroup at their website.

Little Free Library

Interested in reading books recommended by your neighbors? The UPCA and the Town of University Park have installed two Little Free Libraries in the neighborhood, beautifully painted by Terisa Flick. Browse through the books and take one home to read, or if you have a book you think others would like reading, leave it in the library!
